Tiny Travels : La Jolla

Today, I am so excited to share a brand new series I will be running on my blog called Tiny Travels. My first trip around the world was at the age of 6 months old when my parents took me to Australia. My parents were huge travelers and we spent most of our summers exploring Europe. My mom never shied away from taking me and my siblings on an adventure, and even took a flight when the three of us were all under the age of 6 on a 13-hour flight to New Zealand on her own.

Financially we haven’t been able to globe trot with our boys the way I want to, but I do my best to take them on some sort of adventure every single day. We are lucky to live in a place that has a lot of different things to do and landscapes to explore, but when we first moved here, I thought the only things to do were the beach and the zoo. It’s easy to get caught up in the same routine and not venture past the things you know, but I hope that this series inspires you to discover new and exciting adventures in your hometown….or plan your next vacation to ours.

My friend Chrissy from chrissypowers.com and I bonded over our love for travel and exploring with our boys and have decided to share some of our adventures with you. In the Tiny Travels series we will be sharing “day dates” you can spend with your children in different destinations. Our hope is that Tiny Travels inspires you to see the world, explore your backyard, city or town and enjoy new experiences and adventures with your children.

For our very first adventure, we teamed up with Juice Box Media to capture the day.
